Development Assistant (Part-Time, Remote)

Location: Remote (with occasional local travel to events)

Hours: 10–12 hours per week

Compensation: $12,000 annually

Start Date: July 2025

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Development Assistant to support the day-to-day administrative and fundraising operations of ConfiKids. This is a part-time remote position with flexible hours and occasional travel to support local events. The ideal candidate is tech-savvy, detail-oriented, and enjoys keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Event Coordination & Support

- Maintain a shared Google Calendar with all ConfiKids events (internal and external).

- Set up and manage event campaigns in our CRM database (Bloomerang).

- Keep the website’s events pages updated using Squarespace.

- Collaborate with the accounts payable representative to produce post-event profit and loss statements.

2. Annual Sponsor Management

- Maintain accurate sponsor records in Bloomerang

- Ensure sponsor logos are posted and linked correctly on the website.

- Provide reports on upcoming sponsor expirations .

- Track sponsor benefits/promises and fulfillment status.

3. Monthly Newsletter Production

- Create and manage a newsletter production schedule.

- Coordinate content submissions from various contributors.

- Design and schedule a monthly newsletter in Bloomerang for deployment on the 1st of each month.

4. Social Media Support

- Develop and maintain a content calendar.

- Assist in creating and posting social media content across platforms.

5. Bloomerang Database Administration

- Merge duplicate entries, manage householding, and assign constituent types.

- Add and update custom fields as needed.

- Generate and update reports; fulfill ad hoc report requests.

- Update children’s award statuses upon completion.

6. In-Kind Donation Tracking

- Record in-kind donations in a shared spreadsheet (donor, item, value, purpose).

7. Board Meeting Preparation

- Project manage the preparation of board materials, collaborating with other team members as needed.

- Compile and distribute the board packet, including:

- Monthly financials

- Event and social calendars

- Sponsor and GEM program updates

- Event Profit & Loss statements

- Quarterly funding updates

- Committee reports

8. Miscellaneous Duties

- Draft and manage PR stories as needed.

- Assist with GEM (Give Every Month) program sign-ups.

Qualifications

-Previous office operations, administrative or nonprofit support experience preferred.

- Proficient with Google Workspace, Bloomerang (or similar CRM), and basic website editing

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- High attention to detail and follow-through

- Able to work independently, self- start and manage multiple priorities

- Comfortable working remotely and coordinating with a virtual team
